Are you looking for a smart way to have metal products or metal parts produced that require splines? Axial grooving is a specialist part of metalworking. Axial grooving does not stress the material and we can set up our machines to work extremely accurately, to the tolerances that are required for your product.
Our company has been around for over 100 years. In 1921, the predecessor of Veenstra Technology was founded. From there on, we continued to grow and we now use our specialist knowledge of metalworking and related disciplines for a wide variety of companies in various industries and markets.
How does axial grooving work?
Axial grooving involves inserting splines into a product. Axial grooving is a ‘machining technique’: pieces of metal are shaved off the object. This shaving is done by a cutter. This is repeated until the correct spline is created. This method of metalworking works extremely accurately within pre-agreed tolerances and we can create splines of various sizes, from very wide to narrow splines.
