Swaging units
We built swaging units ( tube presses) for a maintenance company in oil and gas pipelines. These swaging units are designed to compress oil and gas pipes in the field. After compressing, wire is cut on the compressed section, creating another connectable joint on the tubes. The swaging units are supplied with 12 interchangeable pressure casing sets. By exchanging pressure casings, 12 different tubes, each with a different diameter, can be compressed. The presses are hydraulically operated through an external hydraulic pump. The delivery consisted of the following components:
- 2 pieces Swaging unit
- 2 pieces Enerpac hydraulische pomp, double acting
- 24 sets of pressure segments (pressure casings), consisting of: 2x set 2.3/8″, 2x set 2.7/8″, 2x set 3.1/2″, 2x set 4″, 2x set 4.1/2″, 2x set 5″, 2x set 5.1/2″, 2x set 7″, 2x set 7.5/8″, 2x set 8″, 2x set 9.5/8″, 2x set 10.3/4″ and 2x set 13.3/8″.
