9 Pieces of Flocculation Agitator Industrial Water
On behalf of RWB Watersystems in Almelo, Veenstra has supplied 9 agitators to an IWZ (Industrial Water Treatment) of North Water in Garmerwolde. North Water is a joint venture of Evides Industriewater and Waterbedrijf Groningen. North Water, with its new industrial water purification and the transport pipelines for drinking and industrial water, supplies the industry in the Eemshaven with Google as the first major customer. The required water is extracted as freshwater from the Eems Canal. By theaddition of the new IWZ, North water increases the security of supply in Northeast Groningen.

background
In recent years the Eemshaven has developed itself considerabilly recent years. As a result, there is an increasing demand for industrial water from Northeast Groningen which is used as cooling and process water. For this, surface water is extracted from the new IWZ Garmerwolde. In this way the drinking water sources can be preserved for the drinking water supply. The Veenstra agitators are used for flocculation in the new IWZ. Flocculation is used to remove poorly settling and colloidal components from the water.
Scope of delivery
For this project, Veenstra supplied a total of 9 flocculation agitators in three different types. Three pieces of each type of agitator are supplied. The G values range from 5 to 30, 20 to 60 and 50 to 110s-1. Motor powers range from 0.75kW to 1.5kW and both 2-blade and 4-blade pitch blade agitators are available. The stirring shafts are divisible, 6,300 mm long and made of Duplex material.
